Meebo: Another awesome instant messaging site. Quite similar to eBuddy but the interface is not so good and is quite buggy. No need to sign up to access the messenger like eBuddy.
Nimbuzz: Also another site worth checking out. Though you need to sign up to use it, it offers Skype service so you can chat to your friend and is quite mobile too. Thanks to sreelakshmi24 for the tip!!
