Most of us have lots of software on our computers and we might find it hard to keep all your softwares up-to-date. Here are 2 apps that might be the killer time-saver update checker!! (one is for Mac and the other is for Windows)
AppFresh is a popular application for Mac which keeps your applications, widgets, preference panes and application plugins up-to-date and best of all it is free and should pack loads of features than the Apple Software Update.
For Window users, I found a software that does almost the same things as AppFresh, which is called FileHippo Update Checker which was first found by MakeUseOf, so go there to read up more on this cool Windows app. But what about Linux users? Let me know what they use to update their softwares!! 😀
You’ve been added to the windows7plugins.wordpress blogroll. Please do the same. Thanks
Hi straw000:
I’m a regular user of FileHipoo and feel great having the latest version of the software that I use regularly.
That’s how I found out Google had updated their Chrome browser. I have a passion for having the latest version of my software as soon as it’s released in the wild.
I enjoyed reading your blog. Will be a regular reader of your blog.
Best Regards,
Omar.-
Hi Straw – one of the sites recommended by some of the bigger tech blogs is Secunia’s software inspector. The online version is here:

Notice the “Personal” link up top – that covers a download version that includes hundreds of programs.
